SLW was first introduced to the UK market in 2018 and over the last 5 years, we have partnered with two Italian family-owned wineries (in the Asti Hills of the Piedmont region of North West Italy, and in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Prosecco DOCG in North East Italy) to perfect the taste of the wines we produce whilst safeguarding the nutritional content.
Here at SLW, we love good quality wine but wanted to be able to control the nutritional value of the wines more closely. As a result of our work, we’ve been able to successfully produce a range of delicious, quality wines which have 0g sugar, 0g fat, 0g protein, 0g carbohydrates, and 0g salt and are all Vegan approved. We managed to do all this without compromising on taste or reducing alcohol volume (as all our wines are 11% volume and above).
As well as producing zero-sugar wines, SLW were also the first to display the nutritional content on the bottle rear labels, helping our customers to make a better-informed decision about the sugar content of wine products, without having to resort to artificial sweeteners to enhance sweetness and flavour.
