As you know, our Red Wine is a delicious blend of our Barbera and Merlot grapes that is as perfect to cook with as it is to enjoy by the glass. It is a full-bodied dry wine, with red berries and violet aromas. We think it’s perfect with all kinds of meals, but we’ve put together some of our favourite pairings so that you can really enjoy the delicious, rich flavours of SLW Red Wine.

Merlot is a medium-bodied red wine with flavours of dark fruits like plums, blackberries, and cherries. It pairs well with many foods, including roasted meats, mushrooms and nutty sauces. Try it with grilled steak or chicken, pork, wild game or creamy dishes like risotto. It also goes well with sharp cheeses like Gorgonzola, blue cheese or Parmesan – for the perfect cheese and wine pairing!
